Drillship to be retained by Chevron for three more years in the US Gulf

Chevron has awarded the offshore drilling contractor Valaris a new three-year assignment for a deep-water drillship in the US Gulf of Mexico.

Valaris said the three-year contract using the Valaris DS-18 (Relentless) would commence in the first quarter of 2022 in direct continuation of its current contract with Chevron in the US Gulf.

Chevron has been using the same drillship - a GustoMSC P10000 design delivered in 2015 - since last August.
